PMB-in-Malta-8STAKEHOLDERS in Cross River State have expressed different opinions over the recent trips abroad by President Muhammadu Buhari. Bishop of Anglican Communion, Calabar Diocese, Archbishop Tunde Adele said considering the hardship and security problems Nigeria is undergoing, the President is not giving much attention to challenges at home.

Adele said that the fight against corruption, which the President has taken upon himself to put corrupt-minded Nigerians behind bars, has not improved the economy in anyway, adding that the situation has rather got worst.

In his words, “I think, considered against the hardship that this country is going through, petrol problem, salaries unpaid, businesses crumbling, security, I see darkness everywhere. As I am talking to you now, I am using a generator in the house. So, considering all these problems, I think that the people will conceive that the President is not probably giving attention and consideration to the challenges at home and the travels are not, therefore, necessary against that background or should not be consistent based on the realities on the ground.
