According to him, Eid Al-Fitr marks the end of the Ramadan fasting period. The APC Chieftain stressed the importance of putting the virtues of Islam into practice beyond the fasting season.

While congratulating Muslims on completing ‘this spiritually significant month of Sacrifice’, Ibrahim urged them to reflect on the importance of Ramadan in becoming good ambassadors of Islam at all times.

He stated that religion should be the moral compass for all believers in their public and personal lives,’ adding that ‘if people allow the teachings of their religions to influence their conducts, problems such as corruption, which diverts public funds to private pockets, would have been eliminated in the society.

Ibrahim appealed to members of other religions, and tribes living in Lagos State and other Southwest states to maintain peace and promote unity in their places of residence.

He said the Southwest will not condole troublesome visitors from other religions or tribes, who have come to settle in any part of the Southwest States to promote violence and discord.

In his final remark, he condemned Muslim faithful, parents and particularly Muslim youths who denounce their faith, for some other religion, blaming and admonishing their guardians and parents for failing to teach them the teachings of the Holy Qu’ ran and the teachings of Prophet Mohammed, saying the ‘Eid Al-Fitr feast enjoins all Muslims to remain steadfast in their Islamic faiths and believes. He emphatically condemn the act as he urges Muslim faithful and parents not to tolerate any such thought from their ward/children .

He seized the opportunity to wish President Muhammadu Buhari, the Acting IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, CP Lagos State, Speaker of the House Lagos State House of Assembly, Chief Imam FCT Abuja, the Chief Imam of Ogun State chapter, and his excellency, Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo Olu happy EID AL-FITR’.
