The Provost of the Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu in Ebonyi State, Prof Justina Mgbada, yesterday charged graduands of the institution to be good ambassadors of the college and the country and put to use all they had learnt to the betterment of society.

Prof Mgbada, who gave the charge during the 43rd combined convocation ceremony of the institution, warned them to shun vices, such as cultism, drug abuse, prostitution, examination malpractices and immoral activities

She congratulated the graduands for their handwork, which resulted in their successes, charging them to contribute their quota in nation building, especially now that the country is facing economy challenges.

She further asked them to identify their purposes, visions and mission in life, stressing that although most of them have graduated many years ago, the knowledge and skills they have acquired as students would help them to excel and face the challenges that may come their ways.

Prof Mgbada commended staff and students for the supports given to her administration, saying that being the Provost of the institution is another experience in life.

Highlight of the events was the award of Fellowship to prominent Nigerians, including the Minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, former Abia State governor Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Chief Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma of Innoson Group, Senator Sunday Ogbuoji, representing Ebonyi South, and Deacon Chinedu Stephen.
