A middle aged prostitute (name withheld) who operates in a popular brothel around Abraka Quarters in Asaba, Delta State has stabbed a businessman to death over his refusal to pay for “extra sexual” services.

It was reliably gathered that the incident which occurred at the brothel (name withheld) caused serious pandemonium, as residents of the area were shocked at the act of the commercial sex worker.

Police Officers who spoke to The Guardian on condition of anonymity, said the prostitute attacked the man who came from across the Niger Bridge, over his refusal to pay extra for prolonged intercourse with the suspect.

Eyewitness said trouble started after the suspect encountered the man, suspected to have been on hard drugs before meeting with her and was said to have overstayed, a situation the prostitute allegedly demanded for more money. Upon his refusal, the suspect broke a bottle to stab her customer in the stomach, leaving him in a pool of blood before security agents moved into the brothel.

But a Police Officer at the State Police Headquarters who did not want his name mentioned, confirmed that the suspect has been transferred for further investigation.

Meanwhile, security agents have sealed off the brothel while the Managers, and other prostitutes have taken to their heels for fear of the unknown.
