Police Seek Citizens’ Participation In Intelligence-led Security
TO ensure cohesive and efficient policing that will guarantee safer environment for businesses, the Nigeria Police Force has called for citizens’ participation in intelligence-driven security operations.
The Force Public Relations officer (PPRO), ACP, Olabisi Kolawole, who said this at the entrepreneurship summit organised by the Africa Shapers Initiatives in Lagos, noted that the call has become necessary following increasing security threats facing the world.
The PPRO, who spoke on Renewed Security for Thriving Entrepreneurship, observed that the rise of small and medium scale enterprises have called for a rethink of personal security.
The reign of terror, she said, is adversely affecting global businesses and threating jobs not just in developing countries but also advanced countries, noting that intelligence-led policing confers an advantage on those who posses the requisite skills, which can be judiciously exploited to gain knowledge for improving the of lives and properties.
