Police commission promotes 47 DCPs, others

Nigerian policeThe Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 57 senior officers to the next rank, following the recommendation of the management.

A statement confirming this yesterday in Abuja by the head of press unit in the commission, Ikechukwu Ani, explained that 47 former Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to the next rank of Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), while 10 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) were also elevated to Superintendents of Police (SPs).

Those who got promoted to the rank of DCP include Lawrence Onwuka, Amos Markus Omuiyadun, Mathew Akinyosola, Sodipo Rasaki, Mathew Onah, Damain Okoro, Michael Vigara, Anthony Emonyuya Okpara, Umege Umar, Ebenezer Akintayo Ogunjobi, Titilayo Kayode, Ngozi Onadeko and Emienbo Tony Tuesday Assayomo.

Others are Christiana Ibiso Cookey, Evelyn Tamunoimi Peterside, Philip Aliyu Ogbadu, Eboka Friday, Gabriel Ayodele Oguntuase, Adesina Musbau Soyemi, Steven Folorunsho Igbasan, Ita Okonkon Otu, Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu, Asafa Adekunle, Adagunduro A. Tuned, Mobayo Babatunde, Edward Chuka Ebuka, Janet Agbede, Olukode Taoheed Olawale, Taiwo Adegboyega and Abutu Yaro.

Other beneficiaries include Felix Okedeji, Josephine Nna, Usman Belel, Tajudeen Adeinko, Emmanuel Ngwu, Benjamin Onoja, Bassey Okon Udoh, Joseph Anejoh, Alali Pedro, Amos Mathew, Davidson Madu, Hamza Amenyi, Godwin Akoh, Abimbola Shokoya and Christopher Adetokun Owolabi completes the list of the newly promoted DCPs.

The SPs include Romanus Iwoha, Gold Akponfagha, Yahaya Adamu, Edward Oshadare, Haliru Madaki, Christiana Alabaraonye, Dominic Onyewuchi Nwahiri, Julian Wealth Igbudu, Adenyi Abayomi Ayodeji and Anda Ali.
