Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), Lagos State branch has said harsh business environment, over taxation, lack of basic infrastructures, over regulation and corruption are limiting the roles of community pharmacists.

Chairman, ACPN, Lagos State branch, Obideyi Olabanji at the 2018 Community Pharmacists Continuing Education Conference, said community pharmacy is presently undergoing challenges that require looking deeply for holistic and new set of pragmatic solutions towards developing a new pharmacy practice

He called on Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) and Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) to take the lead in ensuring that vaccination is added to the arsenal of services community pharmacists could render legally in their environs.

President, PSN, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa said it is important for professionals to spend time and energy in improving capacity and capability to deliver and stay on the edge.
