Peace Hyde gets award

BRITISH-GHANAIAN media personality and Forbes Africa Correspondent, Peace Hyde, has received a global award for her not-for-profit-organisation, Aim Higher Africa (AHA).

She was among exceptional enterprising Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) honoured at the young CEO Business Forum at the Imperial College in London.

The event, which drew participants from across Africa and other parts of the world created opportunities for business networks, ensuring that relationships among young businessmen and women, particularly CEOs were realised while specialised business training sessions were handled by seasoned serial entrepreneurs and successful business leaders.

In recognition of the tremendous work carried out within the education space, Aim Higher Africa was commended along with three other shortlisted organisations. The specialist education charity, which has a strong focus on developing learning solutions over the past three years, has consistently added value to learning institutions and for students across sub-Saharan Africa.

According to a statement, “the organisation has a vision to create sustainable and highly engaging education climate with the use of information technology to bridge the gap between poverty and prosperity in our community.

“AHA is a non-profit organisation that seeks to create sustainable economic change, through educating, inspiring and empowering Africa.”
