PDP will resist APC militarisation, rigging in Kogi guber — Aspirant
A Chairmanship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in next month’s state congress of the party, in Kogi State, Comrade Fidelis Alfa, said he would strengthen the party to make it impossible for militarisation and rigging of the November 2 governorship election.
Speaking at the party secretariat in Lokoja last week, while declaring his ambition, he said the party leadership was so weak that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state used thugs with guns to overpower them during recent general elections.
He said he would reposition the party to reclaim its past glory and win the governorship election.
Alfa, who hails from Igalamela/Adolu Local Council, agreed such feat was not going to be a tea party, but it would happen through hardwork from his team.
“If I become the chairman, I will fight for the party and I will not allow anybody to bring in thugs to chase our people away, kill and maim them.”
