Pat Utomi emerges as Chairman, Goddy Jidenma Foundation

The Goddy Jidenma Foundation has appointed Prof. Patrick Utomi as its third Chairman. The Foundation’s Board of Trustees (BOT) at a meeting in Lagos unanimously appointed him.

The Goddy Jidenma Foundation has appointed Prof. Patrick Utomi as its third Chairman. The Foundation’s Board of Trustees (BOT) at a meeting in Lagos unanimously appointed him.

A founding Senior Faculty of the Lagos Business School, Pan Atlantic University, Utomi was the Director of the school’s Centre for Applied Economics.

He had served as a Special Adviser to the ex-President Shehu Shagari and the Chief Operation Officer of Volkswagen of Nigeria (VON). He also contested for the presidency of Nigeria in 2007 and 2011.

He is the author of several management and public policy books, including the award-winning Managing Uncertainty: Competition and Strategy in Emerging Economics, 1998 and the 2006 book, Why Nations Are Poor.

The renowned economist has inspired people to make positive contributions to the country. He has mentored many start-up companies and grown them from their modest beginnings to iconic stature.
