Osinbajo, Ajimobi, Akala pay tributes to Abiara’s wife at burial

Tributes poured in torrents yesterday for the wife of the General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Pastor Samuel Abiara, Mrs. Christiana Aduke as her remains were laid to rest.

Tributes poured in torrents yesterday for the wife of the General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Pastor Samuel Abiara, Mrs. Christiana Aduke as her remains were laid to rest.

Mrs Abiara died on September 3 after a brief illness at the age of 70.

Those present were Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo who represented President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Abiola Ajimobi and his wife, Florence, Finance Minister,  Kemi Adeosun, former governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola of Osun and his Oyo State counterpart, Adebayo Alao-Akala and his wife Kemi, Deputy Governor of Osun State, Mrs. Titilayo Laoye Tomori and her Ogun State counterpart, Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga as well as wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Mrs. Folu Adeboye.

Osinbajo commiserated with the husband, family and the entire congregation on the death of the deceased whom she described as the pillar and force behind the church.

Osinbajo said: “On behalf of the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, we commiserate  with you, we pray that God Almighty will lift you and comfort you. My prayer is that you also will not fall. You will never be put to shame. God will bless your children”.
