BENUE State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Railway and Airport Construction Company for execution of infrastructural projects in the state, including airport, roads, power plants, agriculture and housing.

The ceremony took place yesterday at the Peoples’ House, Makurdi, during which Gov.Samuel Ortom signed on behalf of the State Government, while Deputy General Manager International Business Department, Xu Dongsheng, signed on behalf of the Chinese company.

In a remark, Ortom expressed the readiness of his administration to provide an enabling environment for China to partner with Benue State Government for maximum development.

Earlier, Dongshen assured that the projects would be financed and effectively executed with the cooperation of the new government in the state.

In another development, Ortom directed the immediate restoration of water supply at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Wannune, Tarka Local Government Area, and Benue State.
