Ondo 2016: Mine is God’s own project, says Jegede

Appeals To Aggrieved Party Members

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ondo State November Election, Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) has appealed to aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to sheathe the sword in the interest of the party.

Jegede, who described his gubernatorial project as God’s own project, made the appeal at Ese-Odo Council area yesterday when he visited party members to appreciate their overwhelming support in the governorship primaries of the party. Speaking at Igbekebo, the council headquarters, where the people in their large numbers defied a heavy downpour to receive him at the community’s town hall, he promised to leverage on the human and natural resources in the area to improve their socio-economic well being.

Having got their unanimous endorsement for the November poll, Jegede thanked them for joining the gale of endorsements he had received and assured that with prayers and support they will get more than they have asked for.

The PDP flag bearer and former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice also visited communities on water with Arogbo ijaw Ibe as the first port of call where a large number of residents converged to receive him.

At the Egbe Ibile Cherubim and Seraphim Church, where traditional rulers in the area gathered to receive him, High Chief Reuben Bekewe, who spoke on their behalf, promised the needed support and asked for more developmental projects. Jegede also visited the palace of the Regent of Arobo, His Royal Highness, Amos Sophia, where his spokesperson, Primate Akintan endorsed the PDP governorship hopeful.
