Olukoya bags degree, calls for financial motivation or undergraduates
General Overseer and Founder of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, has been conferred with a honourary doctorate degree from the University of Lagos.
He was conferred with the degree at the 50th convocation ceremony of the institution, which held on Thursday at the school premises in Akoka, Lagos.
Vice Chancellor of Unilag, Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, during the bestowing of the degree on Olukoya, said he is an outstanding alumnus of UNILAG who graduated with a first class honours in Micro Biology and PhD in Molecular Geneticist.

He described his contribution to youths and humanity as massive, adding that he has over the years, exhibited great philanthropy by supporting and sponsoring less privileged students in Nigeria beyond the walls of his church.
In his acceptance speech, Olukoya called for financial motivation for undergraduates, stressing that since he promised a car for first class students in his church, numbers of first class graduates shot up. He also suggested that the National University Commission, NUC add to the university curriculum, a mandatory course on ‘Life after the University’.
