Olubadan mourns Oba Olateru-Olagbegi
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, has described the late Olowo of Owo, Oba Olateru Olagbegi as a great man, even in death.
Oba Adetunji stated yesterday while reacting to the death of the monarch, who died on Tuesday night at the age of 77.
A statement issued by the palace spokesperson, Adeola Oloko, quoted the Olubadan as saying that the death of Oba Olateru-Olagbegi came as a rude shock to him but noted that he lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation.
He, however, commiserated with the government and people of Ondo State, and particularly Owo town and his immediate family.
Oba Adetunji also prayed God for the repose of the deceased’ soul.
