Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has charged his predecessor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, to list the legacy projects he claimed to have left behind, which his government destroyed.

Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has charged his predecessor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, to list the legacy projects he claimed to have left behind, which his government destroyed.

He wondered how Uduaghan, “who could not summon courage to contest senatorial seat as a sitting governor, could boast about leading a mission to unseat my team, who are committed to cleanup the mess he (Uduaghan) left behind during his time as governor.”

Okowa cautioned that Uduaghan should stop his clandestine plot to drag the state government into his dwindling political fortune, just to deceive members of the public with a view to scoring cheap political point.

While reacting to Uduaghan’s criticism of the Okowa-led government, Commissioner for Information, Patrick Ukah, who spoke to journalists in Asaba yesterday said: “Our attention has been drown to media reports, credited to Uduaghan, in whichn he alleged that the Okowa administration is on a vindictive mission to bulldoze his legacies as governor.

“It is not the style of this government to respond to fallacious claims, but we owe the public a duty to set the records straight, particularly when such comments are made by a former governor, who this administration has given his dues and respect. “Since Uduaghan’s defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), we are inundated with all manner of deceits to score cheap political points.”
