Okorocha sacks SSG

Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha yesterday sacked the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Jude Ejiogu, and directed him to hand over all government property in his possession to the Permanent Secretary in the Cabinet Office.

A statement signed by the governor’s Principal Secretary, Dr. Paschal Obi, while announcing the immediate removal of the SSG, acknowledged his contributions and wished him well in his future endeavours.

The Guardian gathered that the sacked SSG has allegedly been nursing higher political ambition.

Recently, he was discovered to be away from the governor’s entourage.

Just two day ago, along side some commissioners, he inspected the site of the newly commissioned Shoprite, along Egbu Road, in the outskirts of Owerri, the state capital.
