Okorocha commends The Guardian for publishing the truth on Obinna

Rochas Okorocha
There had been a crisis of reports that Obinna, was allegedly manhandled at the burial of the mother of an Imo State official, Alex Mbata, in Owerri North Local Council, because the prelate spoke against the alleged plot to bring undemocratic tendencies into the state, but in a phone conversation on Saturday, Obinna denied such reports.
In a statement issued yesterday and signed by Okorocha’s Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, the governor recalled the history of the state from the then civilian governor of the state, the late Chief Sam Mbakwe in 1979, saying there has not been ”any dull moment” politically in Imo, hence similar controversy.
Okorocha commended both Obinna and The Guardian in the following words: ”We also want to commend Archbishop Anthony Obinna for saying the truth over the allegation and to The Guardian newspaper for standing by the truth and publishing it.”
