Ogun denies blocking route to venue of inauguration lecture
Ogun State government yesterday denied allegation that it deliberately blocked the road leading to the venue of the inauguration lecture organised for the in-coming governor, Dapo Abiodun and his deputy, Noimot Salako-Oyedele.
The government, in a statement by the Special Adviser to Governor Ibikunle Amosun on Information and Strategy, Rotimi Durojaiye, also urged members of the public to disregard a statement credited to the State Police Command’s Spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, claiming that some people were planning to disrupt the inauguration of Abiodun.
The government described the allegations as “unsavoury” and a “figment of the imagination of the mischief-makers.”
