Indigenes and non-indigenes in the state have been promised equal business opportunities, if the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s candidate, Godwin Obaseki is elected.

The candidate made the promise at a meeting with Igbo Community Union in Benin City.

He said every resident, irrespective of tribe, would have the opportunity to aspire to any position or job in the state.

Obaseki promised that his government would boost the small-scale industry by generating 450-mega watts of electricity.

He added that the improved megawatts would be generated from the Azura Power Plant, which the APC-led administration had attracted to the state.

According to him, when the project is completed, the number of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMSE) in the state would increase substantially.

He said: “We would run a government for all, without tribal or gender discrimination. If you are born here, do business here and pay your taxes here.”
