Nwoko sees hope for Nigeria, despite faulty electoral process

There is hope for Nigeria, irrespective of the challenges in its democratic process.

Former House of Representatives member, Ned Nwoko, stated this on Saturday at his Idumuje-Ugboko home in Aniocha North Council of Delta State, after voting in the presidential and national assembly elections.

The grassroots political mobiliser, who spoke to newsmen amid cheers from supporters in his house, reiterated that Nigeria would emerge victorious from the current transition process.

He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the process, which he claimed was largely peaceful and procedural, apart from some issues with biometric capturing by the card readers.

Nwoko, however, called on Nigerians to remain peaceful and see to the victorious end of the electioneering process.

“I am impressed at the turn out. My people are wonderful; they have been patient since morning to cast their votes. Irrespective of the challenges of the card readers, they have remained supportive to the officials and still patiently waiting to cast their votes.

“As Nigerians, we must do everything possible to support Nigeria to win and come out great. It’s not about individual; it’s about contributing to making Nigeria great,” he advised.
