NUJ urges credible, transparent elections in 2023

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has charged politicians and managers of the nation’s political system to ensure the citizens get credible, transparent and acceptable elections in 2023.

Its National President, Comrade Chris Isiguzo, who made the appeal at the grand finale of the Kogi State Council of the NUJ Press Week, stressed that a better electoral process would improve the international image of the country.

Applauding the event’s topic, the NUJ chief urged support for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to achieve the mission.

Isiguzo charged state government, to without delay, make good their promises to the union, noting that “it is the responsibility of government to ensure the comfort of journalists.”
