Nnamdi Inyama…In the eyes of The Guardian, friends and associates
Eleven days after the death of The Guardian’s Deputy Editor (News and Features), Mr. Nnamdi Inyama, the management and associates are still in a state of mourning. Born on October 1, 1958, he died after a brief illness.
Inyama was the Acting Editor of the Metro Desk until February 2013, when he was appointed the News Editor and Chief Sub-Editor. He died on Monday, October 24, aged 58.
According to the funeral programme released by the family yesterday, there will be a Service of Songs in his Lagos home on Wednesday, November 9, at No. 258, Ijegun Road, Ikotun, Lagos, from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m.
He will be buried on Friday, November 18, at the late Calistus Akamiro Inyama’s compound, Itu Ezinihitte Mbaise, in Imo State after a funeral service at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Itu Ezinihitte Mbaise at 10:00a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Felicity Akunna Inyama and daughters: Odichi Israel, Nkiruaka Inyama and Sonmachukwu Inyama. His remains have since been moved to Owerri en route his hometown, Mbaise in Imo State.
