Workers’ ovation greets Fashola’s assumption of duty in Abuja
The new Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, on Wednesday in Abuja assumed duty after the inauguration of the federal cabinet by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Fashola was welcomed into the Federal Secretariat by rousing ovation from the staff of the ministry and stepped into his office at about 3.15 p.m.
He was ushered into the office by Mrs Grace Papka, the Director in charge of Human Resources of the ministry.
Thereafter he went into private meeting with the directors in the ministry.
Similarly, the Minister of state for Power, Works and Housing, Alhaji Mustapha Shehuri, also arrived at the complex where he joined the minister and the directors at the meeting.

Fashola, you must make your mark as the minister of power and energy. This is where you can write your name in GOLD because your ministry will affect every living creatures in Nigeria. In fact the success of your ministry will make or mar BUHARIS administration. You are the most important minister of the whole bunch. You must hit the ground running because you don’t have too much time
