Suswam Berates Buhari, Says He Is a Tyrant

GOVERNOR Gabriel Suswam of Benue State has described the presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) Gen. Muhammad Buhari (rtd.) as a tyrant and undemocratic fellow that cannot further the cause of Nigeria’s democracy.

Suswam made the uncomplimentary remark at Akume Atongo Stadium in Katsina-Ala while addressing the mammoth crowd of PDP supporters of Benue North East zone.

“Buhari has tyranny in the past, we ask for full democracy and not half democracy. We know that a leopard can not change his spot, the moment you vote for Buhari and he assume office, he will become a lion you and you can not tame again. We are all students of political history and we know all his antecedents – how he jailed our son, late Aper Aku for 400 years; and that was what killed the man.”

He insisted that the ruling party, PDP has creditably governed the country well to continue in office, and assured the people that it will continue to cater for the well being of the masses.

While berating those he termed “benefactors” of the PDP that have abandoned the party to pitch tent with opposition parties for selfish reasons, the governor rained curse on such people saying, “it will not be well with them.”

Suswam appealed to the people to remain supportive of the party and vote massively for all the candidates of the party in the next month election starting with President Goodluck Jonathan election, the PDP flag bearer in the state, Terhemen Tarzoor, himself for senate and contenders of the party for house of representatives, as well as state assembly candidates.

Suswam, however, charged the youths to eschew violence but vote massively and protect their votes against manipulation.

The party gubernatorial candidate, Prince Terhemen Tarzoor called on the people of the area to remain loyal to the party, promising to ensure continuity in governance when voted into office.

Tarzoor promised to upgrade and generate revenue from Akata festival located in Katsina-Ala as well as establish industries that will process fruits and yams that are abundant in the zone he described as the economic nerve of the state.
