Odivwri Unveils The Pains Of A Country On Tuesday

THE Pains Of A Country, a book written by Mr. Eddy Odivwri, Deputy Editor of THISDAY  Newspaper will on Tuesday, January 27 be presented to the public at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos, by 10am. 

  Dignitaries billed to grace the event include, Mr. Nduka Obaigbena, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, THISDAY Media Group and ARISE TV Networks; Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi; former managing director, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Timi Alaibe and others. 

  The event will also feature a colloquium on the forthcoming national elections with the topic, 2015 Elections and the Prospects of a New Nigeria. The ceremony will be chaired Obaigbena while Mr. Femi Adesina, President, Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) will review the book. 

   Published by Posterity Media, the book is a collection of articles written over the years by Mr. Odivwri, which provides refreshing insight into Nigeria’s socio-political journey, especially since the return to democratic governance in 1999. It showcases how Nigeria can measure up with global standards.
