Obasanjo, Balarabe Musa, others for Oyebola’s book launch
ELDER statesmen including former President Olusegun Obasanjo are expected in Ibadan, Oyo state capital Wednesday (Wednesday) to honour the former Editor of Daily Times, Chief Areoye Oyebola for the launch of a revised edition of his book “Black Man’s Dilemma.”
The book, first published in 1976 by Oyebola, a renowned author, teacher, economist and journalist, has been variously described as a unique and timeless book for Nigerian graduates, academics, undergraduates, professionals, public office holders, politicians and articulate general readers.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Oyebola, who was flanked by members of the Movement for Nigeria’s Total Transformation (MNTT), said the public presentation/launching of the revised second edition of the book and colloquium on “A review of Africa’s Leadership Crisis & it’s Implications on Development,” holds by 9a.m. today at the Kakanfo Inn, Joyce B road, Ibadan.
He expressed regrets that Nigeria as the most densely populated black nation in the world has not been blessed with the type of leader that could lead the country out of the multifaceted problems confronting it.
Others being expected at the event are a former governor of old Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, Chief Olisa Agbakoba, Chief Niyi Akintola, SAN, Dr. Arthur Nwankwo, Chief Adebayo Akande, Pastor Remi Oseni and Comrade Laoye Sanda among others.
