Kwara dissolves boards of 18 parastatals

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq yesterday dissolved the board of directors of all Kwara State-owned companies.

He also directed that the operation of their bank accounts be “suspended until further notice,” according to a statement by the Permanent Secretary, General Services, Adegboyega Mobolaji Odetokun, on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government, Mamman Sabba Jibril.

The affected parastatals include Kwara Hotels Limited; Harmony Holding Limited (HHL); Harmony Securities Limited; HHL Investment and Trust Limited; HHL Investment and Property Development Company Limited and HHL Insurance Brokers Limited; Harmony Courier and Logistics Limited and Harmony Transport Services Limited.

Others are Harmony Ventures and Supplies Limited; Harmony Facility Management Services Limited; Harmony Advanced Diagnostic Centre Limited; Kwara Football Academy and Ilorin Cargo Terminal Company Limited.

The rest were Patigi Regatta Motel Limited; Kwara State Cashew Nut Processing Company Limited; Kwara State Tourism Kitchen Company Limited; Kwara Waste Management Limited and the International Aviation College.

“The managing director of each company is hereby directed to immediately hand over to the most senior management staff of the company,” the statement added.
