THE Federal government’s effort at making kerosene available to Nigerians at affordable prices received a boost in the Eket Local Council of Akwa Ibom State recently as residents of the area applauded the Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC) for bringing kerosene to them at the rate of N50 per litre.

Eket residents expressed their appreciation at the flag-off of NNPC “Kero Correct” programme aimed at making kerosene available to citizens in right quality and quantity.

According to Mrs. Patience Ohara, the exercise was like a dream to her because she could not recall when last she bought kerosene at N50 per

litre.

“For many years now, I have been buying kerosene at the price of N130 or more per litre. I am saying may God bless President Goodluck

Jonathan and his administration. May God bless Nigeria and give us peaceful election”, she said.

Another beneficiary, Mr. Samuel Akanimo, commended federal government as he described the exercise a timely one, adding that

kerosene was essential to the daily lives of the common people.
