THE Minister of State for Education and Deputy Coordinator,  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign in Imo state, Professor Viola Onwuliri has said that President Goodluck Jonathan will comfortably win Imo state in the forthcoming February 14 polls.

Speaking in Owerri when she addressed a group of Imo Professionals, she said  the victory for President Jonathan  “in Imo will be monumental. For the avoidance of doubt, Imo State is and remains a PDP stronghold. Recall that Imo PDP delivered over one million votes to President Jonathan in 2011, and nothing whatsoever has changed since then to suggest that Imo people will vote otherwise”.

Onwuliri stressed that “aside reclaiming the government house from the clueless All Progressives Congress (APC)  government of Rochas Okorocha on February 28, Imo PDP shall first and foremost deliver hundred percent votes for President Goodluck Jonathan on February 14 to further prove that Imo remains a PDP stronghold”.

While fielding questions from the audience, Professor Onwuliri asserted that President Jonathan has largely fulfilled his electoral promise to Nigerians through his lofty transformation programmes which Imo State has immensely benefited from.

“Imo people are very knowledgeable and can attest to Mr President’s achievements especially in the areas of infrastructure, education, housing, empowerment and agriculture. It is however incumbent on Imo electorates to join other well meaning Nigerians to ensure completion of the transformation programmes as we are confident they will vote massively for PDP and President Jonathan”.

She also thanked Imo people for their priceless patience by waiting for President Jonathan during the President’s campaign in Imo recently, stating that it was a clear indication of their appreciation of President Jonathan’s good works in Imo, and the direction they were going to vote.
