I won’t deport non-indigenes, says Agbaje
THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje yesterday said he would not deport non-indigenes from Lagos State.
Agbaje disclosed this at the official flags off of the party’s campaign held at Ikeja, Lagos.
“I am assuring Lagosians that when eventually am sworn into office, your general welfare will be my priority. We will neither collect dues from market women nor shall we convert the markets to shopping complexes.
“Part of our policy thrust shall also be non-deportation of indigenes and our government will value your contribution to the development of the state. We will welcome work with them.”
Assuring the people of Ibeju Lekki, Ikorodu, Badary, Epe and Alimosho, Agbaje said that his administration will give them back all the illegally acquired land.
PDP chieftain, Chief Olabode George in his address said the time has come for Lagosians to flush out the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership he alleged of defrauding the state through illegal tax collection and various property acquisitions.
Also, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, former Minister for Defence charged Lagosian to support the candidacy of Agbaje who he said has passion to change the face of Lagos state for real.
“This man does not have a godfather. He has an humble beginning as small scale operator to build a multi-billion pharmaceutical company. A vote for him is a vote to liberate Lagos,” he said.
