Groups back Jonathan’s re-election
THE Goodluck Lagos Grassroot Project Mobilisers (GLGPM) has said that the best option to peace and stability in Nigeria for now is by re-electing President Goodluck Jonathan in the February election.
Addressing newsmen in Lagos, the group’s secretary, Mr. Sunday Olayinfa said that Jonathan had done well regards the prevailing security situation in Nigeria.
He posited that no one could have achieved better under the circumstances that the present administration operates.
“Jonathan has performed more than any past president in Nigeria. He has succeeded in putting the economy on sound footing. It is in our best interest to allow Jonathan’s transformation agenda to continue. In view of his numerous achievements, we’ll do everything possible to ensure success for the President in Lagos State.”
Also determined to ensure victory for President Goodluck Jonathan, the Delta State Chairman of Goodluck Support Group (GSG), Dr. Austin Izagbo has tasked the members to ensure that they collect the new Permanent Voters Card.
Izagbo, a former Delta State Commissioner for Information who spoke at the group’s inaugural meeting in Asabasaid that Jonathan truly deserved the people’s vote considering the fact that he has performed creditably well.
Izagbo told the gathering which included a former Chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Wellington Okrika, former Chairman of Oshimili South Local Council, Mrs. Monu Olarenwaju, business mogul, Chief A.C. Okocha that the group was not in any way competing with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
