THE Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Delta state council has expressed gratitude to the state governor Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, for the progress of work at the ultra modern NUJ secretariat building at Asaba

Speaking at the inspection of the project located at Maryam Babangida way Asaba, the NUJ state chairman, Mr Norbert Chiazor accompanied by the state secretary Mr. Churchill Oyowe said Dr Uduaghan is the first governor to undertake the building of a press centre for the Union since the creation of Delta State, almost 25 years ago. He noted that Dr Uduaghan has displayed uncommon magnanimity to the NUJ and proved himself as the most media friendly governor in Nigeria.

Chiazor appealed to the governor to expedite action on the building of the NUJ press centre. He described the NUJ secretariat as a legacy project of the Uduaghan administration and urged the governor to ensure its completion before the end of his tenure.

The NUJ chairman also commended the secretary to the State government, Ovouzourie Macaulay for his personal sacrifice, selfish efforts, dedication and commitment to the project.
