OGORI Community in Ogorimagongo Local Government of Kogi State took to the street on Thursday with placards to protest complicity of the police in the escape of two suspected burglars arrested and handed over to the police with exhibits by the community.

The vigilante group of the community had arrested a burglar with a stolen motorcycle when the people in the neighbourhood were at their worship centres on Sunday.

An eyewitness who does not want his name in print told The Guardian that the burglars always come when there is an occasion when the people are engaged.

Later in the afternoon he said another was arrested and he named all his accomplices. The vigilante group handed over the suspects and accomplices to the police but later got to know that the suspect had escaped.
