Buhari did not order DSS out of the Villa – Adesina
The Presidency on Wednesday denied rumours that personnel of the Directorate of State Security Service (DSS) have been expelled from the Presidential Villa.
A release issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Mr Femi Adesina, said the rumours were unfounded.
“President Muhammadu Buhari has given no such order,’’ the release said.
It, however, noted that it was true that a reorganisation of security at the Presidential Villa was underway.
The release added that the exercise, which involved the realignment of personnel from various services, did not translate to the expulsion of DSS personnel from the villa.
“The changes being made are routine adjustments which are not unexpected in any dynamic environment from time to time,’’ the release said.
