Ambode pledges more inner roads in Mushin
ALL Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has promised the people of Mushin he would address issues of insecurity, interior road network and electrification in the place if elected in the February 28 governorship election.
Speaking during a rally held in Mushin yesterday, Ambode said he would continue with the development programmes of the outgoing governor, Babatunde Fashola, promising that this time necessary attention would be focused on the inner roads, electrification and other infrastructures that will make the state a living haven for the masses.
Ambode also expressed readiness to address the incessant crisis among gangs of youths in Mushin by providing adequate jobs and opportunities that would engage them.
He added that his administration would continue to work in the direction of flood eradication, which Fashola did relentlessly in the last eight years. He added that government efforts would be re-doubled in Mushin with the aim to addressing the issue of waste management in the area.
Fashola in his address, said there is no enmity in politics as he urged the people, particularly the youths to desist from fighting themselves or being used by politicians for selfish interest.
He explained that despite the fact that the Federal Government is indebted to Lagos to the tune of N51 billion, his administration has been able to build infrastructures and provide enabling environment in the state.
He urged the people of Lagos to shun the propaganda machinery of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying that the party is fighting like a wounded lion having realised the coming elections might not favour it.
