RIVERS State Police Command said that about 80 suspects involved in armed robbery and cult related activities have been arrested in Rumuekini forest in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area and other areas in the state.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ahmed Mohamed disclosed this while briefing journalists on the command’s achievement for the month of June.

He said: “On June 21, 2015 at about 5:40 am, men of Anti-Cultism Unit on information stormed Rumuekini forest and arrested 69 suspected cultists/robbers while two of them got fatally wounded. Items recovered from them include two pump action guns, nine live cartridges, a Toyota Camry and assorted household items suspected to be stolen”
