OLASHORE International School (OIS), a top- rated secondary education centre in the country, has kicked off its 2015 national and international interactive road shows starting from Port Harcourt. It will also touch a number of other major cities including Abuja, Warri, Lagos and round off in London UK.

The yearly road show aims at fostering parents’ involvement in the education and development of their wards. It also offers the platform to demonstrate how Olashore School is going beyond classroom education, and deliberately creating an environment, that develops leaders that can fit into the new dynamic and highly competitive global society.

The Principal of the school, Mr. Derek Smith, in a statement, said the OIS-parent cocktail  would provide an avenue for prospective parents of the school to interact with some of the key stakeholders and gain deeper insight into the school, as well as relevant developments in the wider society.

The Proprietor and Chairman of Board of Trustees of OIS, Prince Bimbo Olashore, said: “We are proud to say that the school has progressed to a stage of a stable educational institution, offering the very best of secondary education you can get anywhere in the world”.

“Over the past 20 years, we have succeeded in creating a community of world class services around the school including a first class hotel, a golf course and Leadership training center that all combine to give the school a unique identity”.

According to Olashore, “Parents who are visiting Iloko- Ijesa for the first time are usually pleasantly surprised by the array and the quality of the facilities and services we have created around the school. We have quietly, over the past few years, invested heavily in infrastructure that match the vision we have for the school. And we are proud of what we have been able to put in place. We are only asking people to come around and see things for themselves”.

Established in 1994, on a 60-acre of land,  Olashore International School is a co-educational school,  which offers high calibre education in a wide-range of subjects at Junior Secondary, Senior Secondary and a University Foundation Programme in partnership with Lancaster University.

The school is located in Iloko-Ijesa , a safe and serene community away from the busy and distracting city and surrounded by nature in a welcoming environment.   The school offers adequate provision for students, teachers and all other members of staff in terms of accommodation, health care and other basic amenities.

OIS partners with two UK Universities: Lancaster University and Bradford College, University Centre. The OIS/Lancaster University 1+3 programme was started in 2007 for students to pursue undergraduate degree courses of study at Lancaster University. The one year post-secondary Foundation Programme is particularly attractive to students who want to study in a university that has a global outlook.

Olashore International School is particularly appealing to discerning Nigerians at home and abroad, as well as expatriates residing in Nigeria, who desire a school with a strong value system, proven track record and a clear sense of purpose.
