THE Elders Forum of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward E, Bariga Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State, have expressed its appreciation to the party national leadership for choosing one of its own, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) as the running mate to the party’s presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (Retd). This was made known at the 2014 End of Year party held recently.

According to the chairman of the forum, Alhaji A.F. Dawodu (MFR), Prof, as Osinbajo is fondly called, has consistently contributed to the growth and development of the party in the ward.

“His elder brother was an elected Councilor in the old Shomolu Local Government Area in the 80s and one of his younger brothers, Tunde is the immediate past Supervisory Councilor for Health in Bariga LCDA.

“Prof. facilitated a private but free nursery and primary school named Liberty Nursery/Primary School, Obanikoro for the community. He is a consummate team player, highly focused and committed professionl of high repute with an uncommon humility. His personality will adequately complement Buhari’s spartan discipline to give Nigerians the desired good goverance if elected,” he said.

The forum chairman also used the occasion to congratulate Akinwunmi Ambode and Alhaja Idiat Adebule for their emergence as Lagos State governorship candidate and running mate respectively, while eulogising the former chairman of Bariga LCDA, Otunba Denge Anifowoshe, for his support to the Elders Forum over the years.

“Through our interaction with government officials, we have been able to get many roads within the ward tarred, boreholes commissioned and the construction of the drainage at Mutairu Street.
