Delta APC faults allegation of anti-party activities against Ibe Kachikwu

The Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has maintained that Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, was not involved in anti-party activities as speculated in some quarters.

The Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has maintained that Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, was not involved in anti-party activities as speculated in some quarters.

State chairman, Prophet Jones Erue, described the allegation published in some national dailies as the work of mischief-makers to blackmail the minister.

In a statement by the state Director of Communications, Nick Ovuakporie, Erue warned persons fanning the embers of disunity to desist, stressing that the APC has confidence in Kachikwu’s leadership.

“Though it is not the duty of the party to defend its friendship with individuals, the party will not standby idly and allow charlatans such as the writer of the ignoble article and his desperate sponsors to drag the name of the minister in the mud, all for selfish and cheap political aggrandisement,” the statement said.
