Niger seeks intervention on federal roads
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has sought urgent intervention on federal roads to ease the people’s hardship in Niger State.
Making the appeal during an on-the-spot assessment of the collapsed bridge at Gulbin Boka community in Mariga Local Council, the governor directed the state Ministry of Works and Infrastructural Development to immediately mobilise contractors to site and make the facility motorable in 24 hours in view of the its economic importance to the state, citizenry and the entire nation.
He urged the Federal Government to come to their rescue as “this road is of great economic importance to us as a state and the country as a whole.”
