The Bridgewater Foundation has said it would spend N300m to build five robotic and innovation laboratories across Ekiti State to empower 20,000 youths in artificial intelligence, animation, and blockchain, among others.

The President, Bridgewater Foundation, Mr. Segun Oke, who made this known during ‘Ekiti Marathon for youths’ at Oye Local Government, said the world has moved to the digital economy.

He was optimistic that robotic labs would open up wider opportunities for Ekiti youth to participate in global innovation and entrepreneurship system.

The concept, according to him, is to train primary and secondary students across the state within the next five years in artificial intelligence, animation, and block chain.

“For us, this is important, because as the challenges of the world is getting bigger, the only way we can create wealth is to go digital.”
