NGO makes case for flood victims

A Non-Governmental organisation, Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice, has called on the three tiers of government to assist flood victims nationwide. It urged prompt resettlement of the affected citizens

The Executive Director, Sheriff Mulade, told The Guardian that as an organisation with focus on environmental justice, they were sensitising the people living in flood-prone areas.

He said their advocacy was for the Federal Government to sustain assistance to the victims while a lasting solution to the menace is being worked out.
