The National Examinations Council (NECO) yesterday released its November/December 2017 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results 38 days after the conduct of the examination.

The National Examinations Council (NECO) yesterday released its November/December 2017 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results 38 days after the conduct of the examination.

Its Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Charles Uwakwe, who disclosed this to journalists in Minna, Niger State, said close to 57 per cent of the candidates made credit passes in English Language and Mathematics.

He stated that a total of 4,425 candidates were involved in examination malpractices, which was lower when compared with that of the previous year.

Responding to questions from journalists, Uwakwe said the council recorded lower rate of examination malpractices because of its zero tolerance for the menace.

Uwakwe asserted that the council was able to record success in its statutory responsibility because of its new work ethos that borders on efficient service delivery, client satisfaction, timeliness, commitment and excellence, among others.

“It may also interest you to know that this feat was made possible through the deployment of improved logistics that ensured that appropriate standards and excellence were maintained right from the planning stage to the release of the examination results,” he stated.

He urged the candidates to access their results on the NECO website.www.mynecoexams.com
