Ndoma-Egba, Owan-Enoh pledge to end communal clashes in Cross River
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Central Senatorial District, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba and governorship candidate for Cross River State, Senator John Owan-Enoh have promised to end incessant communal clashes in the state if elected.
The duo enjoined leaders to call the youths to order, stop funding communal wars and refocus their energies and resources to developmental objectives, including holding political leaders to account.
Ndoma-Egba expressed determination to facilitate the return of lasting peace in the Bahumono communities of Ediba, Usumutong, Ebom and Ebijakara in Abi local government area of Cross River State.
The communities are embroiled in incessant communal disputes that seem to defy peaceful resolution, even as hundreds of lives and properties worth millions of Naira have been lost.
On his part, Senator Owan-Enoh decried the level of inter and intra-communal clashes across the state and pledged his administration will address them.
