NCAA cautions pilots, operators on imminent bad weather
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) yesterday warned pilots and airline operators to be wary of imminent harmattan haze and attendant danger to safe flight operations.
In an advisory circular, the authority alerted the stakeholders on the need to observe the hazards associated with dust haze coupled with precautionary measures before take-off and landing.
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) in its Seasonal Rainfall Prediction Bulletin-2019 had earlier hinted on the cessation of the rainy season from mid-October in the North, and early December in the South.
