THE National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) has asked Governor Idris Wada to run for a second term in office in the forthcoming governorship election billed for October this year.

The students’ body made the appeal when they paid a solidarity visit to the governor yesterday in Lokoja.

They said their call for his continuity in office was to ensure the completion of various educational projects embarked upon by his administration.

President of the association, Comrade Ibrahim Amodu, in his address, said the Governor has done well in the area of education through infrastructural development across the state’s higher institutions.

NAKOSS noted that despite the lean resources accruing to the state, the Governor was able to spend as much as N3.7 billion to improve infrastructure at the Medical School of Kogi State University, Ayingba, while 500-bed space hostels were constructed for male and female students of the same institution to ease accommodation problems.
