The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) yesterday solicited the partnership of organisations in Nigeria to ensure the actualization of its mandate of ensuring the wellbeing of the citizenry.

The acting Director general of the Agency, Yetunde Oni made this disclosure when she took delivery of six operational vehicles donated by Dangote Sugar Refinery (DSR) at its offices in Isolo.

Oni said the donation will go a long way in helping the agency’s surveillance and monitoring activities to ensuring that products retain quality as at the time the product was granted marketing authorization is retained.

The NAFDAC DG extolled the Dangote group for the gesture, saying the agency was proud to be associated with them. She also thanked Customs for their support as well as the Inspector General of Police for drafting policemen, who provided security during enforcement and monitoring exercises. Apart from the six Hilux vehicles, two more vehicles including a bus are still being expected.
