The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has raised the alarm over the activities of unscrupulous elements advertising a fraudulent website in its name to dupe unsuspecting Nigerians.

Its Director of Special Duties, Abubakar Jimoh, in a chat yesterday with newsmen in Abuja, urged the public to disregard any recruitment information concerning the agency.

His words: “Our attention has been drawn to the activities of unscrupulous elements who have gone ahead to open a fake fraudulent website dedicated toward promoting misleading information that NAFDAC is recruiting. I want to, by this medium, alert Nigerians that the agency is not recruiting and the citizens should be aware of this fake website.

“We have a dedicated NAFDAC website which everybody has been very familiar with. So, if we are going to advertise, this individual unscrupulous website is not ours. So, Nigerians should beware of them.”
