The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has urged the Federal Government to uphold the principle of social justice as panacea to the increasing insecurity in the country.

It cited the Niger Delta and the Rivers community that generate an estimated 185,000 barrels of oil daily and yet remain one of the poorest regions across the federation .

In a statement yesterday, MOSOP President, Fegalo Nsuke, argued that the nation’s democracy had not improved the cause of social justice for the people of the oil-rich area.
